I'm not sure how I missed posting her but it looks like I did. I bought her about a year ago and she's now one of my favorites and a definite keeper.

I'd been looking for a Tele with an early 60's Oval C neck and came across this series. I wasn't really a fan of relicing but I thought I'd give her a try since she had the neck I'd been seeking. I've got to say I now get why people are drawn to relic'd guitars, they have a lived in and worn look of a guitar that's been lovingly played over time. I also don't have that first scratch/ding anxiety with her.

Anyway, she's got an alder body, quartersawn maple neck with a 9.5 radius rosewood board, twisted tele's, and a lightly relic'd 3 tone chocolate sunburst. I bought a CS Strat about 3 years ago and I've got to say that the Fender Custom Shop is putting out some absolutely fantastic guitars.

That is one beautiful Tele. Congrats. I love double bound and that is a gorgeous example.

It is beautiful, and I'd LOVE to play or hear it!- but I really don't understand relicing-
IMO, it'd look even better without it.
Relicing defeats the whole purpose of paying more for better quality finish/wood.
