    Hello,
I have a Fender Champion 30 (Solid State) amp. I read that it has a cap on the pcb board for the normal channel volume control that gives that channel brightness. I've read that if I remove it it will give the normal channel more warmth. My question is- if I remove it and solder in it's place a resistor (10k) will that smooth out the taper of the normal channel volume? The normal channel pot is 50k audio. The normal channel volume doesn't turn up as gradual as I'd like- it's more of off/on.
    Thanks!
    Jim
