Love the look of your Cabronita! Definitely more cost effective than the U.S. made 'Telebration' series. Figure you'd only be out around $400 more than a MIM Cabronita.

    Thanks! Prices were as follows:

    body - TK guitars $99
    Pickup - TV Jones $125
    Used MIM neck, ebay $162.50
    Pots, wire, etc $28
    Electrosocket $9
    Warmoth pickguard $28
    neck plate, screws (GFS) $14
    Sealer/painting supplies $32
    Wilkenson 1/2 bridge $24.99

    Total $522.49

In the end, I saved a few bucks over an MIM, but what I got was:

    1) the exact color I wanted
    2) nitro finish
    3) the vintage style bridge I wanted
    4) a real TV Jones pickup
    5) parchment pickguard
    6) electrosocket
    7) the vintage wiring I wanted (no greasebucket)
    8) a very light, sub 7lb guitar
    9) the fun of putting it together!

    Excellent pricing!
Shoot - I priced out the body I wanted on Warmoth (which is the same as on my white cab) and that alone was around $400. Then again, it's finished. In any case - nice work!

The Cabronita is a Fender Custom Shop design that has built up a following over the last few years. First as a Custom shop limited run, then a MIA model and now a MIM.

I do expect to see a Squier model eventually.

At a guess I'd say whatever is standard. The amp was just hired for the weekend.

Is it just me or is Fender gettin' just a little too overpriced? I am a Fender Fanatic but dang these prices are killing me!

Build your own! best way to go.

IMO if you want over priced go look at Gibson! I think that Fender is actually really great on their price points.
