fender bias pot layout

    is it a good idea to eliminate the bias board and solder the few components directly to the bias pot and bias transformer tap ?
    as George Alessandro does on his HW fender amp reissue
    (I'm talking about tube rectified amp like deluxe reverb for example)

    Why move it?
    If it was designed on a board, that is where it should stay, besides it looks tacky to stick components on top of a potentiometer, not to mention unprofessional.

    I never thought of that. I kinda like it as long as it doesn't add any hum etc.
