Is there a website similar to the Fender guitar dating site for Fender Amps? I’m looking for information on a Champ 12 I’m thinking of purchasing. I’m not crazy about the white vinyl. I had a Champ 12 in the late 80s and this one is pretty decently priced.

They were only made '87-92 if that helps.
    That white is pretty unusual!
I like mine, it's black with the red knobs, but I have too many small amps....

    what is "decently priced"? :>)

About $275 USD. I may one day recover it in black Rolex.

Yuck yuck yuck. I only date women. Be sure to turn off the lights and bring up your Pizza Pops plate when you leave your parents’ basement.

That little black and white label I; the upper right of the back panel could contain a date code, but I can’t read anyth8ng there. If it is readable, what are the two letters on the bottom line. If there is no two letter code, then is there a longer code that beg8ns with ‘F’. F is the code for the 198x years with the first digit being the last digit of the year...F0———— being 1980, F9xxxxxx being 1989. In 1990, Fender reverted back to two letters as in the period from 1951-April, 1967. A - 1990 and the second letter is the month...AA is JAN, 1990. BA is January 1991.

From April, 1968 through 1975, there were no factory date codes. One simply dates by component manufacturer’s codes...EIA codes that contain date codes. These are found on speakers, transformers....not in the tweed era or very early brown panel era though, pots, filter caps of original. Understanding EIA codes helps one to assess originality, fwiw.
I; 1976, Fenderm8nsituted the letter A followed by digits...A - 1970s, first digit equals the year. A6xxxxx is 1976. This is where the Fxxxxx type of format that was used in the 80s was introduced.
