Not really looking to be swayed, but interested n other's opinions on them. If you had to choose between buying a brand new Fender 70th Anniversary "Broadcaster" for $1999 that is new coming out for 2020 only 2020 production models made. Or the new American Original 70s Telecaster Custom that is $1899, with the real Cuni mags that is being released this year? And why? Also side note will the badge pup on the 70s custom be twang in your opinion or is that guitar a classic rock machine?

I'd get a lightly used AV52 for $1300. Broadcaster seems nearly identical, and I don't care about limited numbers...

I wouldn't mind playing someone's WRHB, but I'd tire of owning one real fast.

I agree with this. Blonde Blackguard Tele reissues aren't exactly rare. I like that Fender is coming out with the 70th Anniversary models, but I don't feel the need for one myself.

I need to play a '70s Custom before I can have an opinion. On paper, they seem like a great mix between a Tele and a Gibson, but I've never actually had my hands on one to know if I like it or not.

Two very different guitars. Same neck radius but profile, controls, sound and probably weight.

If you love Trad some sounds and especially country - Broadcaster.

    Newer stuff, probably Custom.

    Everything I've seen says:

    - 2020 Broadcaster = 7.25 radius
    - AO Custom = 9.5 radius

Could be. That means even more different. Not peas in a pod.
