I purchased a DIY speaker cabinet with 4 10 inch Fender speakers that I could use some help identifying. They have various numbers on them but I haven't been able to find much on the internet about them.
Speaker codes are:
PFB-1020 8 ohm CE7
036502 8 ohm CJ2 - Two of these
036502 8 ohm ML2

I wonder what speakers these are comparable to, and what they might sound best with? I am looking to build a 2x10 cabinet for a Bandmaster Reverb head that I am overhauling and blackface-ing and would like to go with a Vobrolux type sound. I plan to go with some Weber speakers (10F15 and 10A125), but if these speakers could replace one of those then I'd love to save the money.

Basically, are these speakers crap? Thanks!

They don't appear to be Fender regular OEM. The brass looking
outside reminds me of some chinese and korean.
The speaker code does not make sense. Perhaps a 1 time
production run for some regular company

Wish you luck. Webers are great speakers.

I've got a Weber sig10 hooked up to a 6G2 and I friggin love it. Probably will go with Webers. Just hate to waste these 10's but I got the whole cab for $50.

Fender Special Design speakers. MIC, ceramic magnet, probably 40 Watts and they may have doped edges. The 8 Ohm 036502 ones were used in the Champion 110, Champion 30, and other models. OK, but not better than OK, at lower volumes. Can be harsh when cranked and no amount of break-in cures that.

I've had a Weber Sig 10A-S in a Super Champ X2 for years. Clean and warm at lower volumes, then gets fat and compressed when cranked. A tall Weber box arrived by FedEx, yesterday. It contains (2) Sig 10A-S for my Tremolux cabinet and (1) Sig 12A-S that goes into a future 5E3 build and replaces the new 12A-S I robbed from that project to put into my '74 silver panel DR. I told Ted that if I was still living in Indianapolis, IN I'd have driven up to Kokomo to pick them up and say hello.

The Weber Sigs are a real value and can sound really good in many applications. I've also got a 10A125 and a Blue Pup.
