You can wear a brown one with a blue suit, no problem. I've never seen an olive or khaki one, but black and brown and gray work with everything.

    Here's a brown one with a blue/gray t-shirt.

I love 'em & have three (gray, black & brown, all Stetsons). Highly recommend Miller Hats in Houston; fabulous selection of more hats than you can imagine, and great information on sizes, hat care etc. And they include a card to put inside the hat: one side is for you to write your name & contact info, and the other side says: "Like hell it's yours - put it back! But you can get one just like it at www.millerhats.com !

No affiliation with Miller Hats except satisfied customer.

I love hats...but no fedoras, please. #1, it is too hot in the South to wear any kind of felt...usually all year.
#2, a good fedora hasn't got enough brim for me. The only small-brim hat that looks good on me is a Derby/Bowler...and mine is out in only the coldest weather.

Soon, it will be cold enough for ball caps. If the temps are above 68°F, back to the Panama!

I think with at light gray fedora, a navy suit, and glasses like the ones on MisterZ's post, a person could maybe look like Clark Kent. :)

    I only *look* mild-mannered. Underneath, I'm a raging pussycat.

    Nice!

I picked up my first fedora a few years ago in Kagoshima of all places. Was in town for the Ohara Festival and the sun was surprisingly strong for November, so I stopped in the Amu Plaza mall and bought something that wasn't a ball cap for once. Plus, I wanted to blend in a little better with the samba group my buddy was playing in.

After three skin cancer scares on my face alone, I really should just get a huge stetson. It's probably hard to keep it on when riding a bicycle though.

I’ve tried to rock Fedoras and I have two of them hoping something will change. Also, they are not quite functional enough up here: 08889744-8783-414B-B513-CD30C09F578B.jpeg

Although I would love a homburg, I really don't think hats suit me and hate wearing them, only use them for protection from the elements - woolly in winter, floppy fishing hat in summer.

I could however be tempted if someone offered me the cap of a Master......

I’ve got around 50 or so Fedoras. Mostly fur felt Biltmores and Stetsons, with a good number of nice real Panamas and some other straws (hemp is a great material for summer hats). All sorts of fedoras, from pork pies to center bashes to C crowns/teardrop/diamond crowns. One wool fedora (a Bailey).

Do the sizes run consistent from Stetson to Biltmore or Panama?

50 is alot. I own 1 bowler and 1 suit. If I buy another of either, I'll need one of the other. 50 hats need at least a dozen suits ;)
