Haha!

I started another thread and this one popped up!

Well they did it again! I bought an amp from Sweetwater and since I do a lot of business with them they upgrade shipping on expensive items to Priority Next Day/Overnight. Unfortunately today is Friday and the driver had NO interest in calling or asking anyone to sign for it. I'm at an RV park and there were 2 dozen people milling around and always is! He didn't even sign the ticket just slapped it on the door and took and photo and split!

Funny part is the hub in 100 miles away in Santa Fe through mountain traffic on Friday night and I KNOW there is a ton of construction. It takes me an hour to get to Taos, not even half way. I checked tracking at it was back at the hub in less than 1.5 hours! He must have been FLYING! If you've ever driven that road from Eagle Nest to Santa Fe....I've NEVER done it in less that 2.5 hours! and I've driven it 20 times!

fedex is such a piece of poop company! Priority over night = "last delivery of the day, if we feel like it, don't make me knock on that door twice!"

I always ship everything UPS, and rarely get fedex deliveries. However a couple years ago I bought a set of motorcycle tires and the seller used fedex. It was supposed to take about 3 to 4 days, but it took a week and a half. The tracking showed them taking a tour of the United States. They started in the south, went to chicago, then to arizona, then to oregon, then back to the midwest, then somehow a couple days later they showed up at my door here in Southern California. I thought they'd be worn out before I even got them installed!

Leaving the item lying on the ground, in any weather condition, and running back to the truck has become the norm here for any delivery, including our groceries.

Drivers act like they're stealing something vs delivering

Are we talking FedEx or FedEx Ground?

Cuz I think they're two different animals. The latter being a not-too-bright-and-hopelessly-inefficient animal.

I must be lucky where I live I have not had a real problem with FedEx or UPS. I order a lot from Sweetwater and they always use FedEx for their guitar shipments and they’ve always got to me on time in good condition. Of course I probably just jinxed myself.
