Well, how 'bout this! Just because I could, I decided to buy a bass. Didn't know whether I'd like it at all, so I set the budget at $500 tops. The Squier Precision 70's came in well under that. Ain't she purty?
Here's a funny thing people might relate to. After I tuned her up and plugged her in, I was instantly having a blast and played for about 45 minutes. I've always liked playing guitar on the bottom strings, so the territory felt familiar. BUT THEN, I picked up my guitar and I was completely messed up for a good thirty minutes. It felt so tiny and bizarre I could hardly play! Sort of scared me at first. We'll be okay, I think.
