Ice cold beer is my favorite .
Had a whole keg of that for a party once. Killed it.
I don't have a favorite in particular, any creamy and dark stout or porter is good for me. Right now I'm enjoying this Mexican beauty from the land of MIM teles.
I want it cheap, and I want a lot of it.
I don't drink much but usually this :
Two Belgians I've tried - St. Bernardus Tripel and St. Bernardus Abt12 - are quite simply the best beers I've ever drunk.
Orval, best of the thousands I’ve tried
A pint of the black stuff.
Franzischaner. Those Germans know a thing or two.
l like a lot of different things though.
Yakamaniac IPA from a brewery in Lawrence, Kansas. Can’t get it here, so I have to ration the ones I bring back with me.
This one is a tasty local brew. Sometimes it’s my favorite.
Black Albert, Russian Imperial stout by De Struise. Tough to still find one though. One crazy potion.
I like a bunch of hard-to-find brews.....but this is my everyday favourite.
(none of the lesser Black Drinks look like this, when you're waiting to start imbibing....)
There's a Polski Sklep, right next to my local rehearsal studio. I'm going there tomorrow- so I shall see if I can find your brew.
Everything I’ve tried from The Veil and Triple Crossing (both Richmond, VA) has been so impressive that I am now disappointed by all my normal grocery store go-to’s.
Mac n Jack African Amber, but it's only available in bars and taverns.
So I substitute Alaskan Amber at home.
It's the one in my hand when I'm grilling meat. The brand/style doesn't matter much, as long as there's no fruit or other unwelcome flavor in it.
I've kinda burned out on the whole Hops Arms Race, so lately (and soon) it is something mild:
But not long ago I was switch-hitting these two, which are both fairly similar. The only bummer about them is that they're both right around 7.2% ABV so as delicious as they are I must be careful:
So many Craft beers now - I don't know what I'm looking at half the time when the menu is filled with regional brews. But I'm older, set in my preferences, at least as to many adult beverages, and I like the Belgians. For simple clean drinking, Stella's are my favorite. For more flavor ands girth, there's Chimay, etc. And I still love that Mexican take on a pilsner - Bohemia.
