I had to think about it for a while and concluded it’s Neil Levang
Don’t think of him as just some hokey guy from the Lawrence Welk show. That was only a side gig. He was actually quite an accomplished studio musician .

I haven't really read through this entire thread, and I have too many to list a favorite. However, a few faves are Red Volkaert, Greg Koch, Tommy Emanuel, and The Rev. Billy G just to name a few off the top of my head.

Many of my favorites have already been mentioned...

But one hasn't, Brad Paisley, who is an absolute monster.

A bunch, but at the top would be Brad Paisley, Brent Mason (I can't believe nobody mentioned him yet! He's responsible for 95% of the great country licks in the 90s) and Tab Benoit. Another of my favorite Tele players is Joanne Shaw Taylor, although if I'm honest, I prefer her Les Paul tone.

Brian Forsythe/KIX:
This guy is massively underrated. His current sound defines what a tele/Marshall should sound like. No effects plugs right in

Warner Hodges and Dan Baird
