So, what’s your favorites? I’m currently using a Lollar Special T bridge and a Vintage T neck in my nuclear snot tele, and a David Allen Specials set in my blue mother of bowling ball Pearl tele.

The HH config sea foam tele is GFS Power Rails, but I have a Duncan Brobucker to put in the bridge, and I’m thinking a ‘59 neck…

Fralin vintage in the bridge, TVJ Classic in the neck of my ash MIM avatar Tele. With 5-way Lawrence wiring, that will do most anything.

I love the Fred Stuart’s. And Ron Ellis. The neck humbucker by Zhangliqun is amazing. The Wolfetone P90s I put in a thin line partscaster are phenomenal.

Cheers,
Geoff

My 1996 52RI still has its stock pickups....there are just way too many replacements out there to choose from that I (am trying to) refuse a tone-quest down that rabbit hole.
Not sayin' I'm not interest, just that there are soooo many to try that I'll work with what I have (Fender...they made the things, remember?).

Have a set of the older Fender Original Vintage (brown box) in one Tele and a set of the newer (red box) Fender Originals in my MIM Tele. Really like them both. They do each sound a bit different, but similar. Hard to decide which I prefer but both make my Teles sound just like I expect a Tele to sound.

My Thinline has Fender Vintage ‘64’s. I like them but not as much as the other two sets. A bit brighter, not as smooth, clear and warm sounding to me.

Don Mare, two sets, Hayrides in one and the Joel Foy set in the other. I've just ordered a set of Ron Ellis pickups so we'll see.
Please let us know how the Ellis compares . I’d never be able to afford them but would love to hear your opinion

My personal favorite Tele pickups so far are the Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele pickups. The Tele in my avatar is fitted with a pair. I do like the CS Nocasters but in my opinion they tend to be almost too shrill for an everyday situation. The newer 50/51 Blackguard pickups sound awesome! But so far I haven‘t heard Tele pickups that beat the Twisted Tele in the neck and bridge.

The Fender 62 Custom bridge pickup is fantastic and a good value. Paired with a DiMarzio Twang King neck, it's an affordable great sounding set that's hard to beat.

Thats the exact pair i have in my 69 thinline and i have used that same pair in almost every tele for quite a while now. They seem to work great in any tele, tho my 60s (baja neck classic series alder body) is one of the few they don't work well in because the guitar is naturally very dark. It likes a very bright pair so i have a A5 6.4k bootsrap in the bridge and bootstrap A5 5.6k in the neck. Both 42 AWG and very bright but that tele sounds fantastic with them. That Tom petty rhythm clang all day long like no other tele i've had, i love it ! (piano lows) I guess the trick there is dark sounding tele with bright pickups.

I have a van zandt on order tho for the bridge, as i love VZ strat pickups and have been dying to try one for tele for a long time. It should be pretty bright too but if not the Bootstrap will just go back in. But whats odd is i tried a fender 64 bridge pickup in it and found it too bright and thin and it's the same specs as the BS but for the magnet stagger. If any tele should be fine with a real bright bridge this one should be it was really over the top. Yet so many here listed them as thier fav. Strange...

I like a lot of them - I think I like the 62 set about the best though-that bridge pickup just does it for me (I also like the 64s, nocasters, OV's and the regular stock American standards are good too). I like that twisted tele neck real well but have yet to try the bridge version

Fender OVs. Into my 5e3. Bright enough to cut through when I want that, and they fatten up nice when I roll back the tone about 10%.

There's a set of Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro I've had since the 1980s, so probably those.

My Ron Ellis set just arrived yesterday, less than a month after I placed my order and that includes overseas shipping. I won’t wax lyrical about how good they are. If you know, you know.
