For me, this is an easy call. My AmPro Shawbucker Deluxe Tele and Bordeaux Reserve 65 Princeton Reissue just absolutely sing together. Add in my Handbender mounted on the Deluxe and it just gets some beautifully pristine cleans.

Runner-up goes to my Thinline Elite paired with the Silverface 68' Princeton Custom.

I have a Relic'd Fender 69 Paisley RI, from Vintage Relic (can see his stuff on Reverb,) it's loaded with Porter Custom Tele PUPs. I play through 3 blackfaces and it's fantastic. PRRI for home/practice/small venues, DRRI for bigger places, and a Tone Master Twin Reverb for big gigs. I thought maybe this guitar just sounds great, but I tried it through a Marshall DSL40C once and I just didn't like anything I was hearing. I would LOVE to play it through a "real" blackface, like a 65-66 Princeton Reverb.

I do play mostly clean though, with a drive or delay sometimes for color; so that may be why I prefer these amps. They're very responsive/dynamic, which may be a bad thing for some people. 20191218_153959.jpg 20191218_153959.jpg 20191218_153959.jpg

My silver face vibro champ, my Victoria 108, and my Carr Vincent are all the amps I ever need with my CS 52 Tele.

Mesa Fillmore 50 and a Tele is like peanut butter and jelly. It'll do Blackface, it'll do Tweed, and there's enough Boogie in its DNA to take it anywhere from AC/DC to very high gain.

Any Tele into my Champ-a-like can be sublime.
Any Tele into my G3 -is- sublime. The Twelvecaster especially so.
My CV 50's VB into a Cub 10 fed into a 2x10" and cranked until the amp is compressing like a hydraulic press, then backing the guitar volume off to '8' is a sound I doubt I'll ever tire of.

Overall though, a Tele into a gnarling valve amp is the sound.

We've had a similar experience! Every guitar in the house sounds great through my 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb...but through a DSL40C, my single coils don't sound nearly as good -

I've had several that I thought highly of but one of the best combos was my 59 Thinline through a Music Man 210 that I used a long time ago..
I did have 62 Concert that made any Tele sound awesome..I'm thinking that its the 10" speakers that's doing the trick..dunno..

Tele and an AC15C1. The clean tones are fantastic.

maple neck, single coil tele into an AC15 or variant. In the arsenal I have two matching shell pink Teles, one thin line, one American Special, and three more-or-less AC15s: a Vox AC15c1, a Gibson Goldtone GA15, and a Bad Cat Cub 15R.

I was about to post exactly this, Tele + Vox is a match made in heaven. Its my favorite combination ,very open with string definition but with a nice compression when you dig in. Just need to be careful with the treble.
