favorite small shop pickup winders?

anyone have any good, reliable options for tele/strat/hb pickups? guys that aren't "known" per se, but that do great work.

i found a local guy (to me) that winds very nice tele pickups. he also does strat pickups (can't speak to them, as i never have ordered any), and also great humbuckers (those i have).

it would be nice to give the small guys some love, but i won't mention names until i know it's okay to do so in here.

I don't know how small they are, but I really like Wilde (Bill & Becky Lawrence), O.C. Duff and Porter Pickups.

I got a set of Wilde twin blade pickups and when I called Becky answered the phone. I've got a small business and I answer my own phone, so I'd say that qualifies as small! haha.

The pickups are great and I'd definitely order from them again. Recently though I found Sucker Punch pickups on Reverb. I liked the pricing so I gave them a shot. I haven't gotten them yet but I'm looking forward to hearing them.

Oh...haven't bought any yet, but very impressed by what I've seen and heard from Rob at Cavalier Pickups. Will definitely throw some biz his way eventually.

There's Lindy Fralin up in Richmond Va. He does incredible vintage re-issues, to your specs if you want.
He has an internet site, so you can check him out.

I'll second Rob at Cavalier. He built a Tele for me with the Nocaster bridge pickup and Lion King neck pickup. Sounds fantastic to my ears.

I've also used Rose Pickups and been real happy with a Eden P-90.

I put Benson Custom Warm '63s in my CV60 strat several weeks ago and got nothing but good sounds from them.
