Great thread. Now, I am going to saddle up on my Softtail and listen to her sing her song through that Thunderheader. Hey, I have to get to work somehow, right? There is a Fender 300 sitting there that weighs a fair portion of what a motorcycle weighs, and I need to get it back to where it can go at full roar!

Well the song may be called Panheads Forever but the picture is of a Shovelhead!

I was going to post "Leader of the Pack" and "Black Denim Trousers and Motorcycle Boots," but they're already here.

    I'll add this:

P.S. I'm trying to remember if Richard Fariña wrote any motorcycle related songs. I know he died riding one.

Don't think a Walian has already got Motorcycle Emptiness into the thread...

Tav Falco & Panther Burns' version of Bad Motorcycle.
I saw them at Riverside in Newcastle in late 80's. The singer of the support band, Sleep Creature & the Vampires, had parked his Harley in the venue next to the stage. Which I thought was strange. Until Tav introduced 'Bad Motorcycle' & he started up his Harley & revved the engine as the band launched into the song. Pure Rock n Roll.

Definitely top tier in the Dave Holland era. But Les Binks era and earlier Priest is really "my jam."

I love Beyond the Realms of Death. Backmasking/Suicide controversy notwithstanding
I guess that one was actually "Better by You", wasn't it? Ha, I used to know all of this stuff

I love all the responses!! Kinda surprised with how many wonderful motorcycle songs are out there.... thx for all the contributions.

On a similar note, this is my all time favorite motorcycle literature, Hunter S. Thompson's Song of the Sausage Creature.

This song makes me feel like I'm on a good motorcyle ride even though I've never been on one.
