Not a favorite, but recently re-acquainted with Terrible Ted on a motorcycle ride last weekend - "Stranglehold"

Mine are the solos (3) on Eric Johnson’s Desert Rose.
    The last two, in particular.

I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say Do You Feel Like We Do from Frampton Comes Alive.

Those are AMAZING! They've always been my favorites, too. Another great (but different) one:

Of course, the whole song is one big guitar extravaganza, but the main solo is my favorite LOOOONG solo from an album filled with great solos.

Stone Roses' first album "I am the Resurrection" was the outro track before the reissue they tacked "Fools Gold" at the end. The instrumental ending part starts at like 3:15, the guitar solo proper at about 3:50, it sort of ties up at 5:20, then gets really going again for the rest. It's like a 5 minute guitar solo in an 8 minute song. I thought this was pretty epic back when I was in high school. John Squire was like my idol bitd. I think it still holds up.

What That Cal Webway said about "Sultans of Swing"? Apply that to EJ's "Cliffs of Dover"!

One of the first that popped into my head.

Several of Mark Knopflers ride out solos on Tunnel of Love Live are truly mesmerising! As is Sultans from Alchemy I think. Not too mention the slow version of Going Home - something like 5 minutes of brilliance. Heck, I could goon forever with that guy!

I’ve always liked the main solo in Working Man by Rush. Long and fun. And long.

This is one of my favorite guitar solos of all time. One in the middle of the song, and another at the end.

I love the solos featured in Shakti, from each player. Many long solos risk being over-wrought and wanky, but Shakti seems to avoid that IMHO.
