I have a straw hat I got about 28 years ago. It was made somewhere in Central America. It's a "hat" hat. If you're counting "caps" as "hats," then my New York Yankee baseball cap. Even thought it is one of those one-size-fits-all caps, with the open part in the back, the visor is curved sufficiently to keep the sun out of my eyes while driving. I also have other Yankee caps, all worn and sweaty. I have a white one with pinstripes and a navy visor, like the Yankees wore in 1920, but with my gray hair, I look old enough to have been on the team when they wore that cap. But it is a fitted cap. I have another fitted cap that came with the flat visor like Jobe Chamberlain wore (when he was fighting the gnats), but it doesn't keep the sun out of my eyes very well.
