I don't have many. It's this during the winter:

    And this every other season:

My wife bought me Marlon Brando's hat from THE WILD ONE. I love it. I wear it out in public. Kids love it. Teens not so much. They point. They jibe. They josh. What're they rebelling against? My hat. :(

I wear a straw cowboy hat in the field and on the tractor.
I wear a train engineer hat just walking around and at market.
I wear a green wide brim hat hunting.
I wear something warm if it gets cold, but that is rare.

I have a modest collection of hats, I like them. I look silly in a hat. I don’t wear them, just collect them

So many hats. They're all pretty cool. What's your favorite?

I’ve got a ton of ball caps, a couple of boonies, a Panama straw and a linen Panama
My straw cowboy hat finally died after 40+ years. I’d need to go stateside to replace it.

No pics of my favourite hat (maybe I’ll add one later), but here’s my second favourite, and most practical:

Smartwool merino hat. Works great for me at -40°C and works equally well at 0°C and 100kph winds. (Metric system, yay!).

Small enough to stuff into jacket pocket without being bulky.

It goes a shameful amount of time without stink when not washed.

Cuffed version is perfect for pulling down close to your eyes when freezing rain is coming sideways into your face.

The first one I owned is still kicking around after 5 seasons and it's just starting to look a little ratty now when you look up close.

Canada: We love our metric system but our weather sucks!

624C4371-3EF6-422F-B6E5-DFE7767EDF84.jpeg Ball caps. Which one depends on my mood or the weather. I got the black one at a Fender Custom Shop event. The others are from Maui or Kauai. I’m never without one outdoors.

One of several ballcaps, right before we left our daughter in Peru for three months:
    DFD64C94-F816-48B3-895E-A2B93B1C2126.jpeg

...and I forgot the “Memphis Hat”, bought at J Schwab’s on Beale Street:
    B24DD32E-5A9F-4158-850E-A72261114F90.jpeg

...and the Hardhat at work, the black Stetson that looks like a blend of an SRV bolero and Clint Eastwood’s Pale Rider hat, and a cheapo palm-leaf straw hat for floating the river, mowing the lawn, etc.

The funny thing...I have a bunch of hats, but I really don’t wear hats that often...and mostly for sun protection.

I'm not really a hat wearer but our band was getting baked, last year, at a regular Summer neighborhood marina gig- hence the hat.

With the brim down it was completely in the way of my vocal mic, so I rolled the brim up!
Now my FB and band pic:

Stormy Kromer hats. They are made in the Michigan upper peninsula just north of where I live. Took the tour of the sewing factory where they make the hats, mittens, shirts, and RV awnings. Great business story. They are great hats. I have their standard and a lined rancher

I wear a ball cap in the cold months with a knit cap pulled down from the top, but when it’s warm and humid & I’m not running tools outdoors it’s the Tilley Hemp. I may look stupid but it’s the only hat that works for me then. FC543B06-D32B-4C73-BEF6-23EC56EB9EE7.jpeg
