Favorite Cooking Show

Not a favorite necessarily; but when I was a kid, my dad would watch a show on PBS with this Cajun/Bayou Louisiana type guy who was always emphasize things with “I guarantee it!” But he would over pronounce the u in “guarantee” almost more like goo-rantee. That’s the number 1 thing I think of when people mention cooking shows.

Hah, so this sketch was great. But PlutoTV now has a channel that shows the old Julia Child black and white show, and it's fantastic. I'm a little too young to have seen it originally so my knowledge of her is mostly from other chef's today who talk about her. But watching the show got me reading her bio on wikipedia and she was quite the bad ass.

Well I hope this is not part of being retired, but, I sort of like some of these.

So many...barefoot contessa, Giada D, Lidia, Stanley T, Rachael Ray

There are even some that come on during afternoon news.. like Mr. Food.

I tend to like simpler ideas.

My favorite is Food Safari!

Yes, that's right Mr Ramsey, you're in second now. Just be happy that Mario is a much better chef than showman.
