What are your favorite combinations of amps (guitarist A playing amp X and guitarist B playing amp Y). Also, what guitars (one being a Tele) with which amps? Musical styles?

    That's a tasty rock n roll mixture.

    Tele out of a twin
    Gibson out of a vox

That's what we use and I dig it

In my band I use two high wattage amps set lower, the other guitarist uses a low wattage amp set higher. I use distortion pedals, he cranks the amp. It evens itself out in volume and distortion.

Currently I use a Super and Twin Reverb together and he uses a Deluxe Reverb and sometimes additionally a Blues Jr together. He plays nothing but Strats, I play Teles and humbucker guitars.

I prefer my tone for myself, but the combo works great. I'm just more of a fan of a loud clean 6L6 tube with a distortion box hitting it than I am a hot tube cranked up. He's the exact opposite. No stepping on each others toes. My distortion boxes are british focused to get that Marshall tone, he just rolls with a cranked DR tone.

Variety is good. I always liked my tone, it's my guitar skills that need some work.

To me it's Les Paul and a Marshall or a Tele or Strat with a vintage Fender amp and a Tube Screamer type OD pedal.

    the band I work with

    Guitarist A : Twin

Guitarist B : Dual Showman with 2x12 cab ( or another Twin )

We play Tele's / Steel Guitar, no Gibsons

we've used other Fender and brand X amps but always come back to these over a 10 year period

I enjoy this the other way around, tele into Marshall and LP into Vox.
