I'm looking for a '60's style neck. C-shape, possibly a slab board. Something close to vintage specs, but probably with 22 frets. Any favorites? Any sleepers?

They do have vintage-sized frets, but they're on specific necks. I don't have the details other than the necks below, but you can e-mail them and ask for specs. They provided these to me.

TMO-V Fretboard to top of fret crown .040", width .080"
TMO-FAT Fretboard to top of fret crown .050, width .095"

Allparts are top quality necks. I like the TRF for a Tele, or SRF-21 for a Strat, vintage frets and radius, rosewood board but only 21 frets.

I just got a neck from Musikraft, that pretty much has vintage specs w/ 21 frets, 6105 frets, 9.5" radius. It has a meduim C shape (.830" at 1st fret) that feels great! They have lots of options on their Custom Order Page.

USA Custom Guitars can also make a neck to fit your needs.

it's excellent, if you like the 7 1/2" radius and the medium jumbo frets.

I've only used one aftermarket neck which was a Warmoth. It was really a nice neck too. No complaints.

Just got two necks from Musikraft, and although you shouldn't expect them to communicate things like production delays (took two months when the web site said three to four weeks, and it took twenty days to respond to an email and by then they were being shipped out), I have to say they did very nice work. The medium "C" profile is a touch fatter than my Strat neck, the thin "C" is a bit thinner than the Fender neck and both are very comfortable. Great fret work that almost didn't need to have any level/crown/polish done to it. And absolutely every aspect is custom, from the neck and heel volute to the tuner hole size and fretwire spec.

+1, er, 2. I see another post about these. They are very nice. Warmouth are also excellent.

Glad to hear positive words about Warmoth.

Have a 1 + 11/16ths VMS one piece boatneck coming from them with 6150 fretwire, unfinished, with the plan of finishing it after taking a wee bit off to give me some taper towards the second fret, maybe some 1954 style contouring of the neck/headstock intersection, and maybe taking a bit more size off later but only if need be. 3 similar Tele necks as well.

I'll get some USACG stuff in the near term as well; just needed some instant gratification.
