Looking for a fat neck plate to replace the Philadelphia Luthier Tools one that I put on my tele some time ago (chrome plated steel...sadly bent over time). I see a lot of folks recommending Callaham/Glendale/Armadillo stuff when it comes to tele hardware...and all three offer thicker neck plates made from either stainless or cold rolled steel...which one is the least likely to bend?

Cheers
David

Ya know, I've tried something like this on a Strat; stacking two neck plates in place of the one. A little more sustain, a bit more high-end. But nothing that made me want to keep it that way.

How does a neck plate get bent? Just curious...

You can bend the neck plate if you over tighten a neck screw. If you have an extra thick plate, you'll dent the wood instead or strip the threads.

CRS is CRS. If you want the strongest, get the thickest. If it was my project, I would use Callaham or Glendale. I would expect plating and general workmanship of the highest quality. I don't know Armadillo.
