Time to start a new "build". Got the body and PG today from Warmoth. Found I already had a neck plate and control plate in the bin. Not quite going relic per se but definitely kind of a rustic look. Will be painting the body with grey-green milk paint. Have an Allparts neck on the way.

Matted the chrome bits. Won't be using the aweful 6-hammer bridge was just checking for fit. Will even be using some funky knobs! Pretty excited about this one!

This should be good. Looking forward to watching it come together.

The vintage Fender amp knobs in vintage white or Brown are worth consideration too, of different but similar flavor. ;)

I have used them on a few projects, FWIW.

Finished my rustic milk paint (5 coats) and have done one coat of hemp oil. Pretty pleased so far except there's a crack in it :(

Haha! Sure do! The hemp oil darkened it substantially

Got knobs today but bought wrong size. Gonna get bigger ones but you get the idea.

Some progress today. Neck arrived from eBay seller Aurora Custom. All Parts soft V. Aurora does a nice nitro finish and installs a nut. Frets polished as well. Very nice neck for a good price. Pressed the tuner bushings and installed them. Digging it so far.

I'm interested too, that looks like old furniture to me...... which is perfectly beautiful.
