We do love our pet friends. So special. Sorry to read of her passing.
I still get a bit choked up thinking about the last kitty cat I had, and that was 30 years ago. Losing a pet leaves a terrible hole in a home - I couldn't do that again... I vowed never to have another one. Nowadays I take some solace in saying hello to the kitties I meet on my travels, like this sweet quarter-Siamese ship's cat on a narrowboat last week.
So sorry for your Winnie.
She was fortunate to have a loving home.
I am not a cat lover except for my daughters precious Rambo, aka BoBo. He is a very sweet kitty. He’s getting up there and I don’t think any of us will be ready when it’s his time.
Condolences on your loss.
So sorry for the loss of your friend. It is always so hard to lose a pet.
Rest In Peace Winnie
Winnie passed away at 11:00 this morning and I buried her at 12:30.
We have a good friend Dave that comes to visit my wife and I every Sunday to talk about life, politics etc. Winnie loved Dave and would be on his lap the whole time he's here. Miraculously Winnie stayed alive just long enough for Dave to say his goodbyes and she died right in front of us all 10 minutes after he got here. Pretty sad but she was with those that loved her in the end which is all anyone could hope for isn't it?
Thanks to all you good folks for your kind words and sharing the experience with us.
So sorry about Winnie. I know it's a terrible day and only the slow passing of time will help you recover. Thoughts and prayers for your family my brother.
That is a BEAUTIFUL cat.
Also, sorry for your loss, TC. Cats are special creatures for the select few who "get" them.
I’m glad the passing was peaceful and everyone was there, including Dave
I cried reading about your loss.
Sorry. It's tough. I hope her passing was peaceful. Family is family and love is love.
I’m sorry for your loss.
Goodbye Winnie. You were and are dearly loved and will be missed.
next time you look up into the clouds you might be surprised...
Losing a pet is hard. Had to put my old girl down, and planted a lilac above her; feed the tree.
Sorry for you and your family about the loss of a wonderful cat. Blessed to have had her as she was to share your household.
My kitties are getting on in years and I am not looking forward to the day. They are brother and sister we got from the Humane Society ten plus years ago. The little black one is super sweet and has a daily routine where she comes and hangs out with me in the morning, sitting with her butt against my leg, and in the evenings she comes and snuggles with my wife prior to laying down by her feet. The male, I'm not so sure what he's up to because he mostly avoids me unless I'm sitting in one of two chairs upstairs in which case he'll come over for some noogies. My previous two cats (mother/son) could get outside and when the time came they just disappeared, which was tough to deal with.
I'm sorry for what you are going through.
