I was at the filming of Over The Top back in 1986 in Las Vegas.
I was an armwrestler and got to meet and work around these folks for two weeks!

I was at The Snake River Stampede in Idaho around 1979-80 and Barbara was the entertainment.
Afterwards she was signing autographs. I was in line, just about up to her and a small kid ran up and asked her for a kiss, She gave him one! I asked could I have one of those too? She grabbed the back of my head and pulled me in and kissed me on the lips! That was a good moment!

Baseball -- Bob Brenly, back when he was still catching for the Giants. Very easy to talk to, and surprised me he was only about my size (5' 10", 190 or so -- just as well not to be too tall, as a catcher)
Music -- Tommy Castro, 20 years ago; couldn't have been nicer, talked about his old black Strat and only using the neck pickup.
Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown, just a few years ago. So nice I could hardly believe it. Even pretended he remembered a show I had seen in 1969; maybe he has an amazing memory.
Dave Hole -- same blues festival as Simmonds, they had just done a mouthwatering slide guitar clinic, and he was as down-to-earth and gentlemanly as Kim had been.
KBR -- great guy, let me play his guitars and watch over them while he was talking to some other people and getting stuff arranged for a gig. Then I had a front-row seat while he and his guys played a great set. What great tone.

God damn this is about every famous person I can think of on this thread! I have only met Country Joe Mcdonald (Havent seen him in this thread!) He told me a story about a drug fueled adventure in the 60s
Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Rhonda Vincent, Roy Clark, Leroy Van Dyke, Dan Tyminski, Congressman Bill Thomas, Chill Wills, I don't know if I remember 'em all. Worked at the old Desert Inn, met a lot of famous people, some I've forgotten. The famous person I regret not meeing, and will for the rest of my life is John Wayne.
I used to live in Wascom California, and outside of the town about twenty miles away there was a duck club that Mr. Wayne used to frequent during duck season. I was sitting in a little cafe, having some breakfast and John Wayne pulled up in a big blue 59 buick station wagon at the Union station accross the street.
For reasons I'll never understand, though a lot of people rushed up to him, and he was very cordial to them, I didn't take advantage of the opportunity. I was 19 Years old at the time, and I have regretted not making the effort to meet him ever since.

Roger Staubach - A friend/customer/appliance store owner asked me if I wanted to meet Roger Staubach, as he had just purchased a big screen TV and needed it delivered. I was there on my monthly sales call, and my so I helped my friend deliver the TV to Roger's house. This was in the mid 1980s. It was Good Friday and the Staubachs were having fish for dinner (of course). Super nice guy. Down to earth. Seemed humbled or surprised when I mentioned that I had read his book.
I've talked with or seen numerous well-know musicians at Ray's (Heart of Texas Music Company). I had an interesting and short conversation with Jerry Jeff Walker, who was playing a synthesizer and getting that Chariots of Fire sound. Jerry Jeff's guitar player John Inmon, whom Butch Hancock called "the master guitar player of the world" and I talked for a bit about Teles, pickups, volume controls, and the like. Great guy, and I love his playing.
I got to talk to Charles Duke, the last man on the moon, at church once.
Does Mandy Marie count? I got to meet her a couple of weeks ago. She's even nicer in person, if she doesn't mind me saying so...

One morning, way back when, I was sitting at the kitchen table in a local recording studio, having coffee and waiting for the studio I was about to record a voice over in to call me in. There was a guy sitting across the table from me, also waiting for one of the studios to be ready, having coffee and reading the newspaper. I kept thinking I knew him. So I finally said, 'do I know you? You look familiar." He leaned across the table, extended his hand for a handshake and said, "Hi I'm Terry Bradshaw!". Terry was there to voice some Toyota tv spots. Then, a few minutes later, Stevie Ray Vaughn came out of one of the studios and sat down at the table with us. He'd been in the studio all night. It was a very cool way to start the day.

Some but I don’t remember them all which being mainly some football players when I was younger, I’m not a big sports guy.
Chris garver from that Miami ink show years back, seemed like a nice guy.
Chris Jacobs from that overhaulin show, he seemed like another one of the good guys.
Kyle Busch the race car driver, he was at a local Walmart doing meet and greets when he was in town for a race. Seemed like a d bag and I got the impression he really didn’t want to be there.
I saw Dustin Diamond at a comedy show once, screech from saved by the bell. Learned quickly he had a big complex from that role and he came across as an A Hole who wasn’t even funny. Could of let him but passed.
I used to work with some guys and we would go out a few nights a week, hit up some bars and crash IHOP afterwards around 2:30 in the morning. The one night I didn’t go they did the usual IHOP run and said it was pretty dead that night. A couple guys come walking in and one of them was Rob Schneider. He was in town doing a show. He sat down with the guys I worked with for about forty five minutes eating his food and had them rolling the entire time. They said he was a super cool genuine guy and had pictures to prove it. I’m still mad about that one haha.
