My vote goes to my greatest guitar influence... Johnny Marr.

Bands/projects include The Smiths, The The, Electronic, Pretenders, Talking Heads, Modest Mouse, Johnny Marr and the Healers, and his recent solo work, which is outstanding. Recently, he's been working on occasion with Noel Gallagher and on soundtracks with Hans Zimmer. One of those guitarists whose style is so unique, you recognize it immediately.

...and yes, even though he has his own signature Fender Jaguar model, he plays a sweet modified green Tele from time to time.

Not only does dr may have a phd in astrophysics, he is a committed environmentalist who runs a anti badger culling campaign. Plus he invented a new type of stereoscope to look at Victorian 3-d pictures.

The singer from system of a down is an academic, who teaches during the term, and tours during the summer.
