These damn things are everywhere on places like Facebook, and people generally swallow them hook, line, and sinker. They are almost never truthful in their attribution to the person supposedly quoted in the meme. This example popped up just a few minutes ago, and I, in my skeptical and often annoying wisdom, immediately 'pee'd in their cornflakes' about it, so to speak, did a two minute search on the saying, and came up with a ton of equally dishonest memes showing all manner of famous(?) people supposedly authoring that line... Yes, it's probably true, but why is there such rampantly dishonest and misleading associations with these things? I have nothing at all against Keanu Reeves, and I'm certain that he is capable of uttering some very enlightened notions, and of course, he had absolutely no control over the scallawags that steal his image and put words in his mouth, so he gets 'a pass, on this crap, but what's to gain by creating so much misleading junk like this? is it entertainment by the creators of these things to just dump them into the internet and see how far they can go with them?
