Face hair: My wife is trying to tell me something.

    it's been a while but i seem to remember the itchy stage only lasting a day or 2.

    Depends on your beard hair. My beard hair can double for a bottle brush.

    I'm currently moustache only, typically from March to October. If the weather is cold in October (sometimes in Sept.), I'll stop shaving and let the beard grow out. Typically, mine gets to Santa length by Dec. If the weather stays cold, I just let it go. If the weather is warm, I'll trim it back.

    Last year, it stayed so warm that I never grew it out completely, went with a goatee. That was a first, since 1976. The moustache has been scraped off once (1986). My upper lip got razor burn and looked like somebody laid a branding iron across it. So much pain that I went to the doctor. Doc said, "don't ever cut it off again." Orders is orders!
