My girlfriend and I use to argue about facial hair often, but I finally convinced her that it wasn’t the best look for her.

Rze99 - in my experience wives never try to tell you something. They make it very plain.

(Us mere mortal males sometimes have to interpret a bit though.)

I’ve had my current beard since January 1974. Mom asked to shave for Christmas so I obliged. My 3 year old beard was gone but I only lasted less than three weeks and I grew it back. Mom was ok with it cause I shaved for her at Christmas
My longest length was around 8”. I keep it between 3/8”-5/8”
In the 80s the joke was if I needed to disappear all I had to do was cut my hair short, shave my beard and go back to contacts

I just got back from a two-week-long vacation and I never shave on vacation. Took some hacking to shave that off.

lol. We drive on the left here. It’s a leftover from the cart & horse/donkey days
We tell visitors to roll your widow down, drive and keep your elbow in the bush. We also have left hand steering

Interesting. I assume it was like that when the US Virgin Islands were the Danish West Indies.

Had one on and off since college in the 60’s. It’s been on the last 35 years and I intend to keep it that way.

I don’t know how anyone can tolerate facial hair... it’s just so scratchy and irritating. I usually shave about 3 times a week, when it becomes unbearable. It’s a battle between hating to shave and the irritation of whiskers.

Yes. All traffic stayed to the left. When folks went to a rum shop (bar) sometimes they would not be able to negotiate the roads on the way home. Their animals knew the way home. When automobiles were introduced it just made sense to drive on the left to avoid collisions with the self driving carts

I've had a beard since the mid 70's. I keep it trimmed fairly close these days cause it's mostly gray anymore and it seems the gray hair doesn't want to co-operate with the black hair in it. I've shaved it off one time since I first grew it and that was about 32 years ago.

I will admit it would be easier shaving without it but such is the price you pay to be a Caribbean fashion god ... and chick magnet ;>)

    I'd look like a bowling ball if I didn't have a beard!

It's only scratchy for the first few weeks.
