That's a great price! If I didn't already have EZD I'd definitely go for it.

I really wish they'd do that for Superior Drummer someday.

Wow. That is a deal. I’ve had mine for a few years now. Anyone recording, that wants better timing than a real drummer;), then this is the package to get. The expansion packs are awesome too.

That is a really good deal.

I’ve had the original for like ten years now. Good stuff, been meaning to upgrade but now I have a real drummer. Still would highly recommend it.

A lot of the expansions are on sale for $53, as well.

I might go for a couple of those. But looking at what's on sale, I've already got a bunch of them.

So cool! I'm writing songs with my $2000 Yamaha arranger keyboard, but the drum samples just aren't there. I got great patterns, but they sound sterile. This will bring my tracks to life. Hurray!

Superior Drummer isn't on sale, but you do get a free SDX pack during the sale if you buy SD, so that's $179 value.

I guess this is what's known as a 'game changer'.

Lately I was thinking of buying a used SR-16 or 18. They pop up every so often online.

Just got to get out the credit card.

EZD is sufficient for what I'm doing nowadays, but if they knocked $100 off the price of Superior I'd go for it.

EZdrummer is so good I haven't been compelled to upgrade to SD. As a home recordist I think it'd likely be a "diminished returns" scenario, with a whole new learning curve. My workflow is generally to scratch out a draft in EZD, export the midi file to Pro Tools, refine the edits there and use EZD as an instrument plugin. There was a time when I'd buss out the individual tracks to separate wav files, but again, diminished returns. For a home recordist that doesn't have the space, gear or player for real drum tracks this is an invaluable tool. I used to track with an Alesis SR16, no comparison.

I have to admit, Toontracks not only develops great software, but really knows how to bait and set the hook.

    Brilliant software, brilliant company.
Even when I feel a little used by their marketing.

For those who use old versions, IMO v2 is a huge leap in versatility.

Funny thing for me is that I got pretty good at programming drums then just migrated toward music without drums.
    And so it goes...

I downloaded it, won't authorize my computer all I get is "computer is not authorized". I have my other Toontrack's EZDrummer on the computer, I'll have to search the support articles. I'm using a Mac running Big Sur

OK got it working:) First impression $70 well spent and I've hardly explored it.

Hey, thanks you all -- solid $70 purchase, drums sound and feel great, I know how I'm going to get through a Montana winter now.
