Wow nothing. Guess there's no market for it other than me. Heading to TGP...

Well just my luck as always. I just purchased 2 mojo tone wide range humbuckers for my thin line. Now fender releases the real ones damnit.
I wonder how close they are?

I've seen the idea discussed here quite a bit - but as for your question, no I don't think there's been any word from Fender. Have fun at TGP.

It was leaked on some Australian guitar site awhile back that a CuNiFe Tele Deluxe is coming "later this year."

I guess AOs are heavily outsold by the Elites. Make of that what you will

They're just a more fun guitar to own.

    Not that that is important.

The Elites are history. It's the Ultra series now. If the AOs don't sell as well, maybe less folks are interested in vintage era reissue type of products. IMO they had it right with the previous iteration: the AV (Pure Vintage) line.
I would like to see a Thinline added to the Ultra line up

Over on the Gear Page a member floated photos of a different AO 50s Tele in white blonde/white guard/gold hardware but didn't have info on whether it was a replacement for the BSB model, an addition to the BSB model, or even if it was still an ash body or if it had gone to the roasted pine (like the 70th Anniversary Broadcasters from earlier this year).

All I want for christmas is for Fender to stop changing product line names before I have a chance to catch my breath

Sorry... I can't get past the "Original Line" branding. I wonder how Fender will distinguish this from all the other Original, Classic, Vintage, Vintera, Son of Original, Famous New Old Original, Modern Vintage Original Classic, Affinity, Squier, USA, Mexico, Japan, China, Etc. variants out there. It's too bad they need to do so much markup and distribution dealing, because with their robot army of mechanical luthiers, Fender could easily just have you log on and spec your own guitar and have it to you in a week. But I guess there's lots more money in remixing the same components a few different ways every 6 months. It's hardly even a guitar company anymore -- just a marketing department with an assembly line.
