Last week my Dirty Little Secret developed a nasty hum and interference problem. Don't know what happened. Contacted Catalinbread and they had me return it to them.
They notified me that it had a grounding problem and replaced the foot switch etc and are returning it express, should receive it back today.
    No hassles and prompt response.
I love the DLS. It's simple and straightforward and definitely gives that Marshall vibe. It's a great foundation pedal.

Great to hear. I've never had any of their products, but I do appreciate a great customer service story. Also, hats off to you for taking the time to write about it. So often people will write to bag on a product but when all is good, nothing.

I love my three Catalinbread pedals... (A DLS3 and two Topangas). I emailed them about a question on my first Topanga and they answered right away.

Luckily, I've never had to rely on them for more than that!

Got it back and it works great. I also have a Catalinbread Formula 5F6 which is my absolute favorite OD.

My first Catalinbread pedal was a Formula No 5. It sounded great! But, it overlapped my ZVex Distortron too much. At the time, it was THE hot pedal and I sold it for a profit... It was a great pedal, that sounded awesome and was solid as a rock!

If I didn't already have a Lovepedal High Powered Tweed Twin I would pick up a Formula No 5 today but both do the tweed thing well.

When my old Caitlinbread boost pedal got tired, I sent it back to them, and they perked it up and returned it right away, no charge, no questions.

When I had a problem with a V8 fuzz and a huge, overnight output reduction, I inquired and was told it was $35 to fix it and ship back. Just, you know, another story for comparison's stake. Kinda disappointing, frankly.

Ultimately, I left it with a friend who lives in Portland, said if he ever gets a chance to just show up there and be like "yo, fix this." Much harder to give ya the service charge shipping fee spiel when you are face to face with a malfunctioning pedal.

    1. How long did you have the pedal?

    2. They have to pay their bills as well.

    3. Think of how much time it takes to track down the problem.
