Does anyone know anything about this speaker? It came in a princeton reverb I bought off the bay. I haven't got it yet but I'd like to know more about it before it arrives. I'm wondering if I'll need to replace it with something like the copperhead.
thanks.

basically a 10" version of the 12L.

Should be AWESOME, but heavy. If weight is an issue or you want a speaker that colors your tone or something you can get speaker breakup with, then you would want to replace it. If you want clear, true bullet proof sound, keep it in. Probably worth around $100 used. It is designed for guitar. 99db. I think 200w, 8 ohm.

+1 ...... I put an EV Force 10 in my 69 Princeton Reverb..... cleaner, punchier and clearer than anything else..... Yes, heavy.... but a Princeton is a pretty smallish amp anyway.

Don't replace it.... is my opinion.

Now I'm excited. Should I worry that the baffle can hold it? It is pretty heavy.

I don't think you should worry about the baffle per se...... more about orienting the large magnet assembly so that it clears the cap can, etc......you may have to rotate it around the different mounting bolts in order to find a position that clears the most components on the chassis.

It'll be hot....trust us...
