Well, this surely is the most active thread on the forum! Skipped 2022 altogether.

I do want to try a Special. I want a total of two guitars and Wolfgang Special seems on paper as the best guitar to pair with the Player Plus Tele I have. I cannot justify the cost of a Corona one.

But I am not in a hurry as I am a noob and I want to get further along before I buy a FR guitar. My 11 yo has a Shecter on which I put a Di Marzio Super Distortion so I have that option at present if I want it though I loathe that guitar.

I would have thought that along with the classics from Fender and Gibson, two guitars that really should have become extremely popular would be the Jem, which is indeed the best-selling signature model of all time (unless you count LP), and the Wolfgang.

But marketing is a big thing so I wonder if Wolfgang as a name just lacks marketing luster. Or perhaps EVH missed the right moment to get his model launched.

My Special is absolutely amazing. I need to play it more. The only Fender's that I like close to as much are my Jeff Beck Strat and Baja Tele. I wish I could get a Strat neck carved exactly like these EVHs.

Do you mind measuring the distance from low E to high E strings near the nut? I know the nut but I am very curious about the actual string spacing. I have been looking for weeks to try one in the Phoenix area and there are 0 in between several GC and one Sam Ash. Thanks!

I am considering replacing my Tele Player Plus with a Wolfgang Special. I really like mine because it is very comfy with a very nice neck but the stacked humbuckers, while very nice, lack enough output for me and the series version is not quite what I want either.

As a beginner with hand issues for 4 months now and going from one doctor to another, I focus squarely on what I really like so the original idea of developing more broadly no longer applies. I practice, without the solos, Jamie's Crying, Little Dreamer, Aint talking Bout Love (my first solo:)), starting to work on Atomic Punk, also Toto Hold the Line, Metallica Enter Sandman, things like that.

I am happy to, but please send me a PM to remind me. I am out of town and won't remember this thread when I get back in a couple of days. I'll save the PM until I get home as a reminder.

Musikraft offers 3 asymmetrical options and one is their interpretation of an EVH.
I love the neck on my Peavey Wolfgang Standard Deluxe but wish it was wider and rosewood
I’m going to order a Musikraft at 1 11/16 Rosewood fb. For my Strat.

I just got my Special last week. Pro Audio Star was selling them 46% off!
It a fantastic guitar. My only Floyd axe for a reason.
