oh man I just went thru the shop and one of the night guys was digging in the trash can. I asked him what he was looking for said he threw out a sandwich earlier and been thinking about it ever since. He couldn't stand it any longer so he had go back for it.. Ive seen too much. Got back to my shop and had me wondering how that piece of cheesecake looked like that I didn't finish last night? Took one look at the can and said no way freaking way , I had to hold myself down and I'm jonesin for my old piece of cheesecake back :)

See how easily simple minds are influenced .. Ill jus buy me some more tomorrow I aint didgin in the trash :)

Much as I like to go one up at story time . . . I got nuthin'.

However, now that I think about it . . . I did fish some horrible sweet biscuits out of the bin the other day. I bought them for my son but he, wisely, didn't like them.

I didn't like to waste them so I fished 'em out (they were still pretty much wrapped) and left them in the kitchen at work.

As the film says, gone in 60 seconds. Nobody died. I think.

after I got over the initial shock of seeing someone at work dig in the trash went back and had a talk to the guy.. we do hire people at times that dont have much and I completely understand not having much.. he admitted he was homeless for a long time and out of habit jus dug thru the trash on occasions. I feel better now and gave him 10 bucks to get him somethin to eat and dont let anyone else see him diggin thru the trash again if he plans on coming back to work. Just disturbing but I see it all the time and usually dont give em money but hes a good guy works hard and dont give anyone any trouble so maybe he will take this as a lesson and keep his diving habits away from a job he needs..

and I still miss that cheesecake :)

ya know most humans on the planet still eat bugs too. of course those humans that have jack n the box and wendys usually dont eat bugs they know about. but freeze dried crickets are dry and hard to chew, you have to boil them in some broth to bring em back to life : )

and them grubs yummmy yummmy.. rememeber jerry mathers ate a bug on fear factor with danny bonaduce? well danny chewed his food and the beaver just swallowed his. a few days later the beaver tru to form was in the hospital with a worm trying to eat his way out...heh heh..

Most Americans won't even share food with someone that's not a child or spouse. My wife (from Bulgaria, 26 and new to the country at the time) was really humiliated by a coworker one time. Another coworker had bought a chocolate milk, taken a drink but didn't want the rest and was going to throw it away so my wife asked for it. The first coworker immediately said how gross that was and made my wife feel really bad about herself. My wife grew up under communist times and people shared whatever good things they were with others. Man it's been nearly 15 years and I'm getting hot thinking about this all over again.

Nope. Food doesn't go in the trash around here. If I can't finish it, Duke will certainly oblige.
