    Coolest Cooler!
Remember that one? I paid a few hundred bucks for this cooler through kickstarter. This thing had everything.. blue tooth stereo.. lights... phone charger....It had a battery powered blender man! Imagine making drinks on the beach!
So... around 4 years later I did finally get the cooler, I think most people got no cooler and a $20.00 refund.

I quickly gave it away to a friend who lives on a lake.
After being suckered like this I was too embarrassed to be seen with the cooler. I can just imagine the looks I'd get wheeling that thing around. People whispering "there's one of those coolest cooler idiots.. what a loser".

Burned and scammed so many times it makes my head swim.

My wife did a kickstarter for my Birthday gift one year on a SuVide cooker. She said it was supposed to be done before my birthday, a year and a half later it arrived. And it does work and I use it occasionally.

I just sent an email to an auto dealership about a title that they have yet to provide on a vehicle I purchased in October of 2020. I am probably going to have to get legal representation to get them to do their job. They keep dragging their feet getting me the title on the vehicle I have in my possession.

gotten burned more times then I wanna recall. But also had a lot of good transactions too with people, just the name of the game sometimes when gaining the experience needed to NOT get burned.

There was this "great" radio advertised in the back of comic books that was supposed to pick up stations all over the world. And it was only $50.00.

I had to save my allowance for a loooong time.

Bury me next to the road in the cemetery. Why should I let death get in the way of people running me over?

Bought the Vortex? Whatever the POS was called vacuum cleaner. I think it might have been the first non-bag type of the modern era? Anyway, 20+ years ago... looked great on TV and we needed a new vacuum so... we threw down on this new fangled crap. It cost a pretty penny mind you. Dang thing worked great for about a year (just in time for the warranty to expire of course). The motor would overheat after about 1/2 hr of use and shut down. Eventually, about 2 years after we bought it, it finally gave up and died. Into the recyling it went, and good riddence to the thing. Bought a Hoover for less $ and it died only last year... 18 years later. Got a Bissel and it's kickin' butt! So far, best vacuum we've had yet.

They got me on the pigeon drop when I first moved to the city. Luckily only had like $20 or so on me...which was still a lot for me to lose back then.

I ordered these from a comic book ad in the 1960s. They didn't look anything like the picture...

Yeah, those x-ray glasses, all these years and I'm still bummed out. I'll have to get a job as a TSA scanner I guess

Guess I've been lucky but only been burned once from a friend. Well, it was my wife's friends bum boyfriend she has kids with.

I was helping my friend get in shape for the military. He was shipping out to Jordan. We did some redneck weight loss. Mostly hung around in the mountains eating deer jerky, drinking black coffee with two acoustic guitars and some speed.

We were up there for two or three weeks and I got bit by a tick on the first day. Pulled it out with a knife. Giant red swollen leg and it was hot to the touch. Went to the urgent care (only game in town besides a vet) I'd gotten lyme disease. I had to stay out of the sun because of antibiotics. Guy took our money for the tickets he won for free and sold our tickets off and kept the dough.

So, in the 1960's, I was just a kid, and my family and I (and local friends) watched the NFL on the black and white television.
I played football with friends in the neighborhood.

I cut out a coupon advert off the back of a magazine or cereal box, and used my piggy bank money to order a complete set of NFL helmets.

I thought, "This will be great! I can wear a different team helmet every time we play, and I will be the envy of the block!"

Every day I waited and I waited for the huge box to arrive in the mail.
I would rush home from school, week after week, and there was no huge box.

Finally one day, after about six weeks, my mom got off work and came in from the mailbox and said, "Here's a package for you, Johnny."

    I was perplexed.
    The box was quite small.
Smaller than a cereal box even.

Opened it up, and sure enough.
    There they were.
    All those NFL helmets.
With little facemasks to clip on, and side logos to stick on there.

    What a schmuck.

I'm totally lost. Hilarious about a few weeks in the woods on speed eating deer jerky but what tickets did he sell?

Not sure if I have been burned yet, but I am feeling very "warm" :(

Where to start, well I was digging around in my parts and noticed I had enough to put together another Partscaster.
I had a Squier CV50 Tele body and an old Fender Highway One Rosewood neck. They fit together like they were made for each other.
I had previously stripped the body as I was planning to paint it myself. After much thought I decided I would send the body off to be painted.
I did quite a bit of searching around and asking people about who they used. I settled on a shop in Chattanooga, TN.
We talked on the phone at length, I had wanted to do Sonic Blue. After our conversation, I decided to go with Daphne Blue instead.
We agreed on a price and a time frame of 10-13 weeks. Keep in mind, this was well into COVID so he should have figured that in.
Well, here we are at 33 weeks and I still do not have my Tele body back. He told me about a month ago it had been painted and just needed to be cut and polished.

I have been way more than patient. He has not made a single effort to keep me updated, I have initiated contact every time. He does respond though.
The problem is, he just keeps moving the goal posts. I am at the point where I have started looking at the process of filing a case in Small Claims Court in TN.
Not sure I really want to deal with it for what I paid, but I am pissed enough that he just keeps blowing me off that I will do it merely for spite at this point :mad::mad:

A fella whom I once considered a friend and mentor still owes me the money for a tractor he bought from me in 2005.
I see him in town occasionally and I still speak. He knows and I know he knows he owes me money and that I do still expect to get paid.
It’s always a hard luck story. I know he’s sold property and didn’t pay me when he had the means.
Mr. Henry likes the Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos.
    It’s sad.

My wife and I bought a puppy that had health issues. The breeder asked us to return him and said that he would send us a refund via check. He ended up keeping the dog and the money. Lost $1,500.

He and his wife are currently in prison on gun and bestiality (yes, really) charges, so I doubt I'll ever get my money back.
