Steve Holt
Friend of Leo's
Another chapter in the saga of my first build.
I built it in 2015 and I've always had a hard time bonding with it. Funny thing is whenever someone comes over it's the first guitar they grab.
Since I made it, I've replaced the bridge, the pickups, the pickguard, the neck, gone from 4 way back to 3 way... that's probably it.
So tonight I decided to pull the front pickup and wire it up as an esquire. I recently discovered the Mike Eldred wiring schematic for esquires and tried it out in this lap steel I made. As someone who doesn't own any single pickup guitars I was really curious about a single pickup with a three way switch a day the sounds you could make.
So anyway, you could probably guess what it looks like. The pickguard isn't the best fit. So I'll either buy a different one and try it out or drill new holes. Right now it's fine though.
