Hi all- I’ve brought myself a secret agent neck pickup to add to my esquire- how complex is the wiring change?

I expect that its no different from the standard Tele wiring with a 3 pickup switch -- it will depend what's already in the bridge, as there might be phase issues... Also, I usually put in a 4-way switch to get the two pickups series as well as parallel, but given no metal cover of the SA, there shouldn't be a grounding issue.
Nothing on the SD site resource page about wiring it??

I'm really curious how the final product sounds. This is interesting.

@dan.biscombe, do you mind if I hijack your thread?

I have a similar question but my Esquire is already wired as, well, an Esquire (see wiring diagram).

Where do I add the Secret Agent wires. The wiring diagrams included are just the basic Tele diagrams.

Finally, I'm playing with the idea of adding a switch between the Secret Agent and the Esquire wiring. Either a small toggle switch or ideally a push button (but I can't find a suitable locking push button; the one in the picture is a momentary switch).

The switch would allow me to keep the classic Esquire 3-way tones plus a flick of a switch, giving me the 'Secret Agent' tones. :)

    .

Biggest potential issue ... is the body routed for a neck pickup?

I don’t see too much sense in the fixed Treble roll off, even with that .001 uF cap, but i love the parallel setting.
I use a noload pot instead of the „with or without tone pot“ settings.

nothing specific, unfortunately! Basically I need an idiots guide to the wiring changeover!
