So I have built a couple of Esquires and long story short, I sold one of my builds recently and kinds missed it, so i have started and well, nearly completed another one.....
Its a light paulownia body, stained with a water based Ebony stain, Crimson Penetrating oil to finish, the neck i had kicking around, was actually in poor shape and had a kinda funny Strat headstock which in fact I have cut into more of a Tele shape.
The nut was buggered so i have fabricated an aluminium one for fun, for a trial.
I have cut my own pickguard and engraved it this afternoon with Viking art.
the pickup I am having wound at the moment and will be Alnico 3, to push the mids and not too harsh as this will be mainly an overdriven animal, my other Esquire has a Tonerider Hot Classic which is lovely so wanted to try another brand, the guy is UK based and hand winds everything, Toltec pickups if interested, I am looking forward to trying it.

Anyways, here it is currently, waiting on obviously the pickup, then final wiring and set up should be rocking by early next week !
