Probably not as iconic as Roy or Danny but way prettier: Terri Clark
Who's he backing up?
At first I was thinking ''no way'' but the more I look the more likely that appears legit.
And I thought my avatar pic of Duane was old...
Sid Holmes and the Cavaliers. Here's the original link…
Not then.. Not even close... Page was the Top session guitarist in London and was the Yardbirds first choice after Eric C left (Page recomended Beck for the job)
Above That's Beck to the right on the Les Paul
IMO Nowdays.. Page isn't even a shadow of his former self. Every time I see him live it's painfully apparent he doesn't play anymore.
Beck on the other hand.... Seems to have gotten better with age. He's still relevant (people want to hear his new stuff!! After all these years... Wow!) IMO... Beck plays with such Maturity (you have to have a lot of years playing under you to understand what I mean by this. Side Note: Jim Compilongo (in a western swing sense) IMO plays with the same maturity...(one of the few guitarist I've heard in the last 10 yrs to play at becks level of maturity.
Those are some great pics, and watching Beck play is just amazing, he looks like he wants to actually play, even after all these years he looks like he's still having fun.
He's using half a Tele here...
How about some Beach Boys?
Carl with a Tele...
Al, several years later, playing possibly the same Tele...
here is a good one:
I know. I just look on say Wow! The Jeff Beck of today is on a totally different level than Clapton or Page. He's relevant. What guitarist from that era can we say that about? Very few. Santana? (i.e. were people go to see that individual not to see tired standards that are 30yrs old but the artist's new material. Page is content to rest on his laurels reissuing Zep material and Clapton, when he does do something new, you kind of know what you’re going to get with him… its good but you know what coming. With Beck.. You just don’t know. After all these years he’s still pushing himself. I guess not having quite the commercial success as his contemporaries Beck's still got something to prove.
man that takes me back to jr high. Coolness. i thought she was Hot.
I remember seeing a picture of Chrissie with the same Tele from an early 80's Guitar World.
Delaney is playing Bonnie George's Rosewood Telly.
By far my favorite of the newer players/songwriters. His rig rundown from Premier Guitar is great.
