Epi bass I.d. help

    Hey all,
    So I have this bass. Got it from an aquaintance a long time ago.
    I've done several searches over the years and have yet to see another bass like it. It's MIJ. I changed the knobs, otherwise it's oem. Full size pots, and a paper sticker under the pickguard with "#1102” stamped on it. No other serial numbers or marking besides "Made in Japan" stamped in the neck plate. I'm thinking it must be early 80's p bass variant.

    I'm hoping someone on the forum may have some additional info about the bass. It's always been sort of a mystery. 5hanks in advance.

    I can tell you it's not a ply body, and looks like it was made by Matsumoku - they used a slightly skinnier neck plate like that.
