Nah, I can't say I'm embarrassed by anything I listen to. I figure if someone takes issue with any of it, that's on them, not me.
My so called guilty pleasure is light entertainment music, pretty much used exclusively on the BBC for radio and TV, as incidental music by the likes of Trevor Duncan and Robert Farnon. I also have a lot of BBC Radiophonic albums too, which are really easy on the ears. It's not music I would play, just a little out there, compared to my other musical tastes.
Being a young, healthy lad in the late '70s, Discos and dancing were required if you wanted to attract the attention of females. And I actually like some disco music.
ABBA. I said it. Even saw the movie 3 times.
I am embarrassed to admit I spent money to see Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé.
I have a defense but it doesn't matter.
Yeah, I can relate. I can remember being in grade school, and bringing home a 45 rpm of the Ohio Players. It was either “Fire”, or “Love rollercoaster”. My whole family was like, HUH?
Apparently, anything that wasn’t Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, Foghat, etc. was out in left field to them. I didn’t realize it mattered, lol
...And Curtis Mayfield is the MAN!
I'm not embarrassed about it, but most folks probably wouldn't think that I would like to listen to Southern Christian music, contemporary Christian music, and really old country music like The Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers.
Can't think of anything.
I mean, it's all embarassing. But there's no stand-out.
Uh, that's from time after time.
See the Taco Bell thread.
I don’t know if it’s embarrassing but I LOVE me some chicken livers mmmmmmm
Fat embarrassing food is i like to take gingerbread and mix a 1:1 ratio with whipped cream, when it’s mixed it’s like ginger cream goodness.
My parents think it’s disgusting but I don’t think it’s any worse than something like bread pudding
I’ll pretty much try any food stuff once.
Oh and I used to sip on soy sauce, probably accounts for my high blood pressure
Warning: too much soy sauce will kill you
I can dig a 90’s pop-punk song when I hear one playing...
I caught some guff from the guys for liking Bread, but I don't care. Good music comes from all angles.
Now, according to my kids, everything I listen to is embarrassing, or snobby.
That's a relief! I was trying to think of a nice way to tell you...
You’re right. From the perspective of your friends, but I found out the chicks dug em.
Nice shmice. Let it out!
Embarrassed? Hell no. I dig the Wiggles!
