I will admit, Elvin Bishop is a very good guitarist, I love his tone he gets out of his 345, and Mickey Thomas pours his heart and soul with the lead vocals. I actually bought the 45 of this song at a Fodac store yesterday.

And if you've ever seen Mickey Thomas perform with Jefferson Starship, you will know that he takes extremely good care of his voice, and it still sounds like it did back in the Seventies and Eighties!

Either there are two known musicians with that name or he's changed quite a bit over the years.

"Fooled Around and Fell in Love" is an anomaly in the Elvin Bishop songbook. That's a moment in his career when the record companies got their talons in him. For the entire rest of his career, he's been an Okie who played the blues.

What does Mickey Thomas do to take care of his voice?

for some reason I always remember that Elvin Bishop would sit on a bale of hay, and that he wasn't good looking but sure could play
That was only when the train to Grinderswitch was right on time and them Tucker boys was pickin' down in Caroline, and there's ZZTop and you can't be still when Lynyrd Skynyrd's pickin' down in Jacksonville ...

RIP CDB

Big Bishop fan but I got to say that is the one song I just can't take. Don't know what it is but I would rather be hit in the head with a hammer. Love Calling All Cows.

Turnabout is fair play. Sometimes it feels like we’ve all been through a million girls. One by the ladies—they harmonize like a choir:

Funny coincidence, drummer and bassist who I've never done this song with before want to pull this one up recently. Tried once at rehearsal, maybe... voice not what it used to be at my age... but it will be ok I think... but after seeing this 'girl' version maybe she will do it!
I think it's too much of a love song for many Bishop fans maybe. People are either hot or cold on it...

Good idea! Pronoun changes could be applied if necessary.

Yeah it's out of his wheelhouse, but I think he wrote it and it was too good of a money maker to shelve.
