Looking for people's thoughts on the EHX Nano Big Muff PI? I have been wanting to give a muff a try again for a while, because so much of the music I enjoy uses them. Never been able to gel with them before and always had a problem making them work in a band context, but want to give it another try. Do the Nano ones sound the same as the bigger version? The other thing is I have had nothing, but quality control issues with EHX stuff I have used in the past so it is really hard for me to drop any money on their products now. Do think they make great sounding stuff though.

Have one, but it's too scooped for my tastes. Recently bought the Bass Big Muff and much prefer that, sounds more like a Russian one, plus you can mix in your dry signal too.

I am also considering just getting the one with the tone wicker instead to have more options with it.

I've known some water skiers who would get freshwater enemas from that kind of action. I hate to think of what happened to poor ol' Tex here.

I had the little big muff, but traded it off for the Bass version. It's all about the bass...

The Muff quest died quickly when I went into the local Long & McQuades on my way home to look around! There was something there I have wanted for a long time that took the money burning a hole in my pants. A used Boss PH-1r for 99 bucks. Considering these things are going for about 160 US plus shipping on ebay and my Canadian dollar is **** right now I had to grab it. Few chips on it, but in perfect working order like I new it would be. Love phasers and always loved this one back in the day. Nothing like derailing my own thread.

BOO! You cured your fuzz gas with a Phaser?!? The fuzz gods demand repentance.

Lol, well I have never been one to worry about what the gods want and a fuzz would probably be short lived on my band board like usual. A phaser on the other hand is always a fixture on my board and this one is the best one out there imo.

Can be! I prefer phaser into overdrive myself though.
