This is shipping out this week. Price is around $470. I am a fan of effectrode. They make amazing pedals. Really high end. If you want to complain about the price, there are far cheaper compressors out there. This is basically a compressor with a lot of features and very high quality. It is similar to the pc-2a but it adds attack and knee along with some other goodies.

Seems aimed more at a gear collector rather than an actual player. At that price tag, will anyone's ears, including your own, be able to hear the difference from an off-the-shelf compressor/limiter in the $100 to $150 price range?

David Gilmour uses it. Its very transparent. Noticeable difference even on youtube vids. Gives the tone a roundness and fullness with no harshness. This version incorporates some mods gilmour requested for his pc-2a. It also works as a tube overdrive/boost and eq. Ive been a convert of their tube based pedals since I got a tube drive. I sold my fuzz and other od pedals. Its not for everyone but I like it. The pc-2a is a lot cheaper and lacks the 3 stages of tubes and extras.

The LA-2A is legendary for vocals. Never heard of it used in front of an amplifier, but sounds interesting.

Why do you call it an LA-2A when the company doesn't even DARE to do that. I don't even see them reference an LA-2A in their marketing.

Not sure what you mean. Lots of members were around here long before “likes” were even a thing.

You joined TDPRI in 2016 when LIKES already existed.... your ratio is good and high as a result. Many long term members had thousands of posts before that little feature was added. Besides.... why would anyone judge anyone else based on a "likes ratio"?

    Just my 2 cents.

I'm impressed that not only did you take the time to find both numbers, but you actually bothered to do the math.
