I used to play Two Tickets in my frat-party band when I was 21.
    Great memories!
    Thanks, Eddie.
    RIP, sir.

    RIP.

Eddie Money (and his guitarist Jimmy Lyon) made solid contributions to rock radio (late 70's/80's).

R.I.P. Eddie.....I guess I wasn't a "fanatic", but really liked the hits. Hope you're now in paradise.

Yeah, he was quite an entertainer and certainly a character. And if you look at his biography, he was way more involved in the music scene than you would think. He also did a lot of charity work.

My brother is a good friend of Eddie's (long story) and I saw him last year in Houston (backstage passes, etc.). I knew about his cancer back then because he used to talk to my brother about it all the time, but I wasn't able to say anything because he didn't want the publicity (or at least not if it didn't come directly from him).

Here's a backstage pic with him in Houston in 2018 (I'm on the left)

I'll be playing Two Tickets tomorrow at my band practice.

    RIP Eddie

We moved in the same circles back in to 70's. I saw him every Thursday "Ladies Night" at the Longbranch where I was working at the bar, and we hung out in the same places. He wasn't always sweetness and light! But he was quite a character, and I have many enjoyable memories. He had a great band, Jimmy Lyons was (and is) a wonderful guitar player.

Saw him in his prime a few times..
He could wail on the Sax!

He had swagger and charisma galore.
    Travel well Eddie...
Thanks for being the soundtrack for my younger years.

I have always loved Two Tickets. The song was just bursting with joy. And, boy, did he sell it.
