I ordered these a couple of months ago. I was pretty excited when I saw they were making some laydown types like this. B+ may be a little hotter than I want, but no extra wires cluttering up the builds.

It's been about 6 months since I finished that 5E3 build. I've still got all the parts here to do a Marshall build (50 watt iron, chassis, and all). I just can't make myself work on it. I just want to build more Princetons. :D

These are for my PR type builds. It may up my average B+ about 10V. I'm good with that. I can just use a 5U4GB for Tung Sols if needed.

I had a pre-CBS 1965 Deluxe (no reverb) that I worked on recently with 2002 era EH tubes that had been replating, also causing the idle current to skyrocket. I had a set of JANs to put in it, but one was bad, so I temporarily put in a new set of Tung Sols. Plate voltage was 450!! Only biased them to 17mA (actual plate current). They survived a few hours of testing.

The toroidal Antek transformer is for experimenting.
