Shorts. Living in So Cal for so long, its the thing. So I wear short pants more often.
I’m retired so I wear jeans and casual button up shirts. Colored tee shirt of the souvenir or concert type. “Tennis” shoes and argyle socks. If I’m driving somewhere, a baseball cap to keep the sun out of my eyes. I tried cargo shorts a few weeks ago but bugs ate my legs.
On Sundays I wear a dress shirt, tie, coat , dress pants and dress shoes. Solid color socks that match the pants.
At church, I dress for success!
Sorry, just amped-up from playing so much these last few years, and grateful for the fun gigs. Goofy pics...
Wouldn't life be simpler if we could get away with that nowadays?
I go in phases.
Lately slim chinos. Usually charcoal gray, steel or red. Sometimes black or navy.
Always a button up. But not a dress shirt. Trim dark solid color short sleeve or long sleeve.
Cap toe shoes or boots.
Looks vaguely dressed up on stage without being stiff or formal. Works for real life too. All while still being comfortable.
Kinda like my avatar pic. Except I had lost some weight (required dietary restrictions, not self-discipline), so the slacks are a size too big and a bit baggy.
Cargo shorts 1/2 the year minimum. Work ones, flyfishing/canoeing ones and formal attire ones.
Army surplus camo pants for chainsawing in the summer.
Blue jeans in the winter.
My least worn blue jeans for weddings and funerals.
Georgia workboots in the summer.
Danner hunting boots in the winter.
OBoz running shoes and good rock sandals for lounging or out to restaurants.
For the last 24 years.
I do have a black sports jacket and tie to go with the cargo shorts and OBoz for formal dining out.
Also, I do a double take every time I look at the thread title.
Floor Model has a song EAD (Everyday American Dumbass) which pops through my head every time I glance at the thread.
I don’t think we ever put that one on an album or EP, or I’d share. It’s a fun punk rocker.
On Sundays, I sleep in. Extra long if I'm hung over. I suppose I could put on my best bathrobe.
Jeans and boots everyday for me. If they're still dark blue then those are dressier.
I try not to wear t shirts in public because, after all, they are underwear.
Short sleeve button ups during the day, long sleeve if I'm going out.
Office - Long sleeve, button down shirt with slacks and loafers (almost never for >18 months)
Home - T shirt, jeans or Duluth Fire Hose pants with boots or sneakers
I dislike shorts, my legs are an embarrassment.
T shirt, shorts and Birks, almost all year long !!
I wear shorts every day. Work or daily. My favorites are Hook & Tackle cargo type. I usually wear tank tops unless I’ve got to wear a sleeved shirt or a nice button down shirt
My shoes run from Reef sandals, Topsiders, or Skechers
My swim trunks are Longhorn patterned ones.
Go ahead and trespass on this guy's property.. it'll probably be fine.
On my webcam working remotely: some button down shirt from Target, no tie, Lucky jeans or green cotton trousers, plastic Birks.
Not on my webcam working remotely: t shirt or Western or flannel shirt, Lucky jeans or green trousers, plastic Birks.
Creature of habit.
School year, polo shirt, jeans and sneakers. Out of session, polo shirt, shorts and a pair of those Keen sandals shown before. Show days, black shirt and pants. Shirts might be tee shirt (modern music concert), polo (dance show, classical music, something formal) or button down maybe with a blazer ( something where I had to go through a background check or super formal/ high money).
jeans...tshirts...sneakers 95% of the time out...at home tshirt and very light sweat shorts
EDA these days is T shirts or golf shirts with jeans, khakis or shorts when hot enough. As it gets cooler I wear a button/collared "man tailored" shirt or a sweater on top. Joggers/trainers (got a thing for Brooks the last 2-3 years), good quality leather slip-ons for dressier stuff and good quality work boots for heavy lifting, working outside and colder weather. I'll cheap out on some stuff but not clothes or footwear. I'm tired of things falling apart after wearing it a few times. Even with paying a bit more it takes effort to find quality clothing and shoes these days.
When I worked I wore everything from suits to work uniforms depending on the gig. I haven't bought or worn a suit in decades. A sport jacket, usually no tie, khakis or dark dress pants is about as dressy as I've gotten in years including weddings and funerals.
On very special occasions I favor pirate attire, but that's getting off topic.
My splitting firewood outfit or going to the shops or anywhere really outfit. The posh leather top Crocs, Aldi cargos (the good kind with only one cargo leg AND a vertical zip pocket behind the cargo). Camelhair jacket from the Op shops. No shorts or sport shoes for this old timer.
Most of my working years was spent in a suit. I retired in 2012 and have worn a suit three times; three funerals.
Thus is pretty much it for me.
Levi's 505 jeans and long-sleeve Eddie Bauer t-shirts. Flannel shirts if it gets cold enough.
