Add the T. He deserves it...
“Ed Bicker Dies”
At least get the man’s name right, brother...no need to bicker bout it
He's the reason my T-style is named "Ed".
My tribe doesn't say "RIP", so I'll just add "Vale, Ed!"
One of the more elegant, tasteful jazz players ever.
He once and for all proved that you can play jazz on any good guitar.
He was a master.
I loved his conversational, unhurried style and great tone.
I remember when his death was mistakenly posted to media, almost a decade ago.
Nope, doesn't make it any easier this time.
Has the CBC, where he appeared a zillion times, even bothered to mention this yet? They hadn’t a day after his passing.
I’m far from a jazz follower but glad I got to see him.
I mentioned in another post in another thread here a couple of days ago that we hadn't heard a word from the CBC. I searched the site and couldn't find anything. What gives! The man should have been headline news.
Couldn’t agree more. I searched after I posted that and nothing. Absolutely shameful.
Beautifully stated, brookdalebill.
Got to see him play a lot in T.O when I lived there....we chatted once too. He was the epitome of cool for me....a cig hangin' outta his mouth and the hippest jazz comin' out of his Tele.....he was a master who's name should be remembered with all the other recognized jazz guitar greats......so long Ed.
Sad news, a great loss.
Ed and Desmond made some great music.
